phones installed in Hamilton.

'Casey' Baldwin flies Red Wing (Drome No. 1), the Aerial Experimental Association (AEA)'s first powered biplane, modelled after the Wright Brothers Flyer, with the elevator in front, but with an additional rudder in back; becomes the first Canadian and first British subject to fly an airplane; he flies 318 feet and slightly damages the craft when he crashes onto the ice of Lake Keuka near Glen Curtiss' workshop; the craft used the Curtiss V-8 air cooled engine, and was covered with red silk.
